Our specialties include pasta dishes reflecting the flavors of the regions of Italy. Our customers love our shrimp linguine, mussels in white wine sauce and Spicy Penne with chicken in a gorgonzola cream sauce and our handmade gnocchi. Our beef lasagna is made with Bolognese ragu and Béchamel sauce. Nonna Gina’s pizza crust and sauce are made in small batches daily and our toppings are traditional Italian favorites including handmade meatballs, many fresh vegetables and herbs and a variety of cheeses. Favorite desserts are tiramisu, chocolate mousse and cannoli. We use primarily extra-virgin olive oil, using cream and butter only for particular dishes. Our Specials Board changes regularly and offers handmade ravioli, steaks, fish, lamb and veal dishes.
Established in 2008 “Nonna Gina” means Grandmother Gina in Italian. The name represents the food you crave and can only get when you visit your Italian grandmother. We love to feed family and friends. The dream of having a restaurant led the way to this old-fashioned storefront in downtown Buda. On September 2, 2008 Nonna Gina’s was open for business. We served pizza and salad in the beginning, but quickly expanded the menu to include a wide variety of appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts. Now we are known for our steak and seafood options as well as seasonal board specials featuring lamb and veal.
We have regulars from Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and all over the Texas hill country, with the Circuit of the Americas track just 15 minutes away.
